Scared silly.....
After reading some of what our new state leader is proposing, I find myself more uncertain as to our states future than ever. I don't understand how we are to move forward and become a thriving state again when all our leaders want to do is to continue to cut the funding to education. Is anyone else extremely concerned about this????

This is extremely concerning. Every one wants to point the fingers at teachers. Teachers are told to do more with less every year. If it continues this way American students will be behind all developed countries. Obama said it best during his state of the union address - we need to out innovate the world. We cannot expect to do that with cutting funds to education.
ReplyDeleteThis is a concern in my state as well. With so many Governors agreeing to cut education, it is more than just a coincidence. Why is it always education? There has to be some other non-essential area than can be axed. Why is it always the children and caretakers that have to suffer? History is repeating itself. It took us years to convince the powers-that-be that education was important. We are back to that point again. Around and around we go.
